Anxiety, hot flushes and gebapentin- help
So I thought chemo was hard.... tamoxifen is kicking my arse!! Went to the menopause after cancer clinic today and they were lovely. She has put me on Gebapentin for the hot flushes, just wonder how others use of this has worked for them? Has it also been successful with anxiety and moods? I am really struggling with feeling anxious all of the time! I don’t know if it’s the post cancer struggles, tamoxifen, menopause, the pressure of a new job or all of them!! I’ve never really had a problem with anxiety before but I can stop feeling sick, crying and just generally feeling rubbish!!! Any tips appreciated148Views0likes8CommentsRe: NED (Nil Evidence of Disease)
@Locksley this is fantastic news!!!!! I got my all clear last week also. Such a great feeling. Reflecting back to that point a year ago seems so long ago but also like it was yesterday!! I hope you have had a chance to celebrate and enjoy that weight off your shoulders. Sending hugs xxx6Views1like0Comments7 months post chemo and eyelashes falling out!
I’ve made it to my 1 year anniversary. Survived 3 surgeries, chemo and radiation, now making my way through the delights of tamoxifen! I was so pleased with how my hair has grown back and eyebrows and eyelashes until my eyelashes started falling out recently and breaking off. Has anyone had this happen? Not sure if it’s the fallout from chemo still or the tamoxifen?Re: To remove ovaries or not ??
Hi @Greengirl I’d be interested to see the advice you get from ladies here. I’m looking at making a similar decision myself. Diagnosed with two tumours both 85-95%hormone+ bc and full axillery clearance in March. Lumpectomy to remove, now nearing the end of chemo, then radiation and then on to Tamoxifen. I’ve had a history of periods from hell and endometriosis which ended up getting to stage 4 before anyone diagnosed and removed. Had the merina in to control periods but that came out, now it’s out I’m getting those delightful ovarian pains again! Will see my gyno once chemo done just to get his advice, interested to know what others have done. Hope you’re keeping well x34Views0likes0Comments
