THanks for accepting me into the group.I have just been diagnosed,and my surgery is next Tuesday. I am a bit anxious but I am trying to take things a day at a time.Is there anything I should know about having a mastectomy,that you know because you have been through it?Thanks Robyn

    Hi Robyn I found the operation was not too bad and only needed panadol after the first night. I had 3 nights in hospital and kept one drain in for ten days. No other problems all healed well. Hope all goes well for you and let your family look after you. Robyn d.

    THanks so much for the quick reply! I feel great knowing i can just come here and ask a question from people that have been there.I have a great family,and like you all, I am determined to not let this get me down.I will keep you posted.Thanks again. Robyn
