Surgery postponed grrr

Had a call from my surgeon today to advise me that in their discussions today about my surgery they found another lump today on same breast but opposite side from a recent mammograms I had on Monday.  Needless to say I'm an emotional wreck at the moment.  Rush to have ultrasound then another core biopsy done results tomorrow and then back to doctor Monday.  I'm so pissed this was missed in the first scans I had.  He has assured
me it looks benign but just want to make sure as it will change my surgery if it is not.  Back to square one.

    Grrr not for long. I hear your frustration however how good is that they are being thorough. Here's hoping it's benign.

    Sad that it was missed but so good it's been found pre surgery and the right treatment will be given. It will be difficult waiting for results, we all understand that. Kath x

    Oh Nads, you must be shattered.  Just the emotional turmoil in counting down to surgery day to have it moved is terrible. Strange that it was initially missed but as hard as it is to have to go thru more ultrasounds and biopsies, we have to be so thankful our specialists are conferring and being cautious.  Try to have a relaxing weekend and I hope you get good news and the answers you need on Monday.  Once your surgery is over this will just be a little blip in your treatment.

    I am so sorry! Not a good thing to have happen. Here's hoping it is all benign. I know it's better to be safe than sorry, but it won't do much for your weekend. Breathe deeply, hope it's all good news next week.
