DO I have to still have a wire inserted into my breast before surgery if I am having a mastectomy?

- I just had my breast marked up (green texta!) and a small mark above my breast marked too. The latter turned out to be a benign neurofibroma, but removal was all part of the package! If it helps at all, I had very little pain afterwards and healed quickly. Good luck.
- Hi majo, No, as far as I am aware that is only for lumpectomy. With mastectomy they are taking all the breast tissue so will only use a texta on you.
