  • Thanks Romia. Just what I need! Had fun investing in an exercise ball for core strengthening and upper torso exercises as well as back. Collapsing inwards from double mastectomies! Cramping chest muscles.. Also carrying too many  heavy shopping bags
    pulling on shoulder. Great article.

  • I have very sore elbows. One was caused by an accident I had with a garbage bin months ago. The other one was from running into the lane rope at aquarobics. Nothing to do with medication.
  • Ok thanks  but has anyone come up with anything that has helped ?

I have had tennis elbow for 6 months I think at least partially caused by Letrozole. I had 6 weeks of physio , was offered cortisone but cautioned about its effectiveness and possible long term side effects so declined , used Voltaren gel as per GP and Physio which was helpful but only able to use for a fortnight at a time.Oddly enough no one recommended ibuprofen or similar.

For pain relief the best I’ve found is an ice pack thrice daily or more if necessary and Dencorub Arthritis Ice Therapy at nighttime. I am now trying alternating heat via a wheat bag immediately after the ice pack on advice from a paramedic friend.

  • Bloody Hell!!  My shoulder has been giving me grief for about a week now!!    grrr   I think I know why, now!
  • Mystery solved. I wondered why one of the muscles was always half numb with limited movement. With lymphodema I wondered why higher up in the shoulder was stiff as well.
  • With suggestions to help us - hope helps someone.
