TC Chemotherapy
Had Round 3 of TC chemo on Monday morning. Bone aches arrived like clockwork on Thursday night, but now on Friday, I seem to have lower back pain and hip pain for the first time as well. Is this normal? I have been walking 1.5 - 2 kms each day this week.
I am finding the variety, and variance, of side effects, to be weird. For example, Round 1, a little nausea, Round 2, a lot, Round 3, none so far.

- BlondyMemberYour timing for the lower back and hips is the same as mine. I noticed after my fourth and last that for a number of weeks afterwards my quadriceps were killers. I could hardly walk up inclines or stairs without stopping. It was as if my muscles in my upper legs were being wrung out. Gradually I noticed week by week how much further I could walk and finally run up the stairs. Yay. I no longer have a problem with them, but yes that darn lower back ache is a bugger. Hope you have got someone who can massage it for you as it helps. Plus a hot water bottle or wheat bag.

- FinchMemberThanks @kmakm , I say bring it on, I'm feeling pretty good tonight and strong, ready for number 3. Not sure I should have had 2 glasses of red with my steroids this evening and I guess not much sleep expected tonight. All the best to you @"Kiwi Angel" xx
- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm - I’m actually generally pessimistic cause that way u don’t get disappointed. When the going gets tough though I just tend to focus on the end goal.

- jewel-eeMember@finch I just dream about food! what i will appreciate & eat when this over :D
I forced myself to eat a boiled egg on white bread this afternoon - note to self remember the gastrostop!!! not pretty and I cannot stand the way I smell. I wonder if i should try something stronger even if I don't enjoy it? Just know the weight is dropping off atm and I need to slow it down.
stemetil works for me as its nausea/diarrhoea not the vomiting but how many gastrostop can you have in a day? - I'm going to take out shares lol
and i have a box of choccies in the cupboard that i haven;t touched - that is INCREDIBLE knowing my usual behaviour - the word pig springs to mind....
my dear daughter has gone to buy the fresh pineapple avos lemon and udon noodles (from my fav japanese restaurant) and i will report back on my success :-)
one thing i can count on is this supportive crew and knowing all made it through -this day/week will bloody pass!!!
Jxxx - FinchMember@jewel-ee I'm sorry to hear you're having problems eating in your first week . I hope it's settling for you now. What anti-nausea have you been taking?
I seem to have an even stronger sweet tooth than normal and hunt down anything sweet in the house. I have chocolates hidden away for special and I pray I don't go in for the attack on those. - kmakmMember@"Kiwi Angel" It did for me!
