Tamoxifen then Arimidex

Question

I am currently on Tamoxifen &amp; Zoladex and will be switching over to Arimidex after 5 years. Has anyone done that? I note side effects for Arimidex are weight gain, joint pain, hot flushes, fatigue etc but I already have all those on Tamoxifen &amp; Zoladex! I live in tropical QLD so hot flushes etc seem worse in the humidity. Just wondering if anyone can comment thanks.

I was on Tamoxifen for 1 year, then switched over to Arimidex - found them very similar. Remember you may not get all the listed side-effects. The disadvantage of Arimidex is thet you need to keep an eye on bone density.

Thanks Pam, did you have any more weight gain when you went over to Arimidex? I have already put on weight with Tamoxifen, just curious as to whether I need to watch out for it further with Arimidex
