Tamoxifen then Arimidex

I am currently on Tamoxifen & Zoladex and will be switching over to Arimidex after 5 years. Has anyone done that? I note side effects for Arimidex are weight gain, joint pain, hot flushes, fatigue etc but I already have all those on Tamoxifen & Zoladex! I live in tropical QLD so hot flushes etc seem worse in the humidity. Just wondering if anyone can comment thanks.

    Thanks Pam, did you have any more weight gain when you went over to Arimidex? I have already put on weight with Tamoxifen, just curious as to whether I need to watch out for it further with Arimidex

    I was on Tamoxifen for 1 year, then switched over to Arimidex - found them very similar. Remember you may not get all the listed side-effects. The disadvantage of Arimidex is thet you need to keep an eye on bone density.
