Tamoxifem

Has anyone else out there had problems with Tamoxifem. I had to stop taking Femara because of side effects and now Tamoxifem, nothing else left to take. I'm going to start taking Indul-3 Carbonole, is anyone taking this? I would like to start a support group in the Bayside area of Melbourne, or is there already one ?

  • Hi sorry I've only just read this post. I couldn't take Femara or Tamoxifen, they went straight to my knees and I couldn't walk. In fact I'm just getting over two knee replacements, in some part I blame those hormone inhibiting drugs. Although I have rheumatoid arthritis my knees were never the same after those drugs. I would live to hear about a Bayside support group. I did consider starting one myself at one point. I nursed my mum with lung cancer for a year before she died and it was during that time that i had to deal with my cancer too, the wonderful chemo nurses at Cabrini persuaded me that the time was not right in the year after losing my mum. I would be more than happy to help in any way if you have managed to get something off the ground. Regards jacqui

  • Hi

I am taking Arimidex at the moment and have been for 4 months and so far no side effects. I also take Indol 3 Carbinol at the suggestion of my Naturopath as an extra back up. If the going gets too tough on Arimidex and I needed to go off it, then I would keep taking the Indol 3 Carbinol plus all the other supplements I am taking.
