Starting chemo soon
Hello,
This is my first blog so hope I go okay.
I have read ladies different experiences and it is such a great help to have the same feelings along the way even though I haven't started chemo I have had the lump removed and lymphnodes taken out and I am still very sore.
It hasn't quite been a month since I had the operation and still are frustrated I cannot do much and am tired and now I need to have chemo as it was stage 3 and even though it wasn't in the nodes it was trying to get in.
So now I feel all these mixed emotions.

- Alex_GMemberYes my body coped a hiding.. I slept a lot. Obviously of and on. Yes it was home Mede chicken soup a dear friend made it for me and I would freeze small portions as I couldn't eat a lot. I am 3 months finished of treatment, my feet and hands have received the worst of my treatment.. I take MSM powder every morning vitamin D and feel much better for it.. I'm a bit of a nut case so I laugh at everything. It keeps me sane. Look after yourself. Only you really know what your going through. Love Alex

I started with 5 rounds of radiation pre-chemo to my fractured shoulder and tumors behind my eyes ( i have stage 4 with secondaries in bone and eye), and I am currently in chemo right now. I have 6 rounds to complete and i am in round 4 - and when the chemo is done (cross fingers I wont need another round at this stage) will be on herceptin and pejeta for as long as my body works with it every 3 weeks.

Hey Saphire - i have been doing the dark nail polish and it has been working fantastic - my nails are really good. I did have pretty good nails to start with. They say dark - but as long as you have a solid top coat of colour to block out the sun - its a good thing - what i have found is that my finger and nails are quite painful, this came up after treatment 4. So if you get that its not unusual. My toenails and fingernails feel really sore and hard to open things. x

- ChixonMemberI too have just started TC Chemotherapy (25th July) so just a bit ahead of you. Shelli is right about the biotene toothpaste and mouth wash...I haven't had any mouth ulcers! I also use MOO GOO moisturising creme for my skin...as your skin will be dry after chemo. You need to be kind to yourself...rest as you need to and perhaps take yourself for a walk as you can...it does make you feel better. It is an overwhelming emotional roller coaster ride..this cancer journey...but we are all here to help each other any way we can. BIg hug..take care. Chris x
