- melclarityMemberYes it's a relaxant so I found it just helped in fact it was the ONLY thing that worked for me to help me at least sleep as I was in a lot of pain through Chemo. xSign in to react to this post

TRIKKI2 xxSign in to react to this post - melclarityMember@Trikki2 that's why I constantly took Ativan so I could sleep, it helped alot. Mind you all I wanted to do was....sleep my whole 6 months away of treatment and wake up when its over!!!!! It's amazing though to be honest, for something so damn hard and difficult and wondering how the hell you're going to get through it...you absolutely will and you too will look back and think...OMG how did I do it?? you just do. :) xSign in to react to this post

- melclarityMember@Trikki2 you will pick up in a few more days, I know it feels like you won't but you will, so know that for sure. Just make sure you communicate everything with your Team so that they can get on top of everything with your meds. I ended up with shocking reflux/heartburn so they prescribed Nexium it's the BEST, the only thing that worked! If you get mouth ulcers and they are sore, Kennalog is a steroid paste ointment that you can put on at bedtime, it's great!
I think we can all agree it's so hard at the time and we just dont know how we're going to do it, that's why I say just look at today, then tomorrow just that day...it helps to not focus on how far you have to go. Stay in the moment as much as you can and find things that help ease you anyway they can. Even a little fresh air in the afternoon in a sunny spot helps. xSign in to react to this post - Trikki2Member@melclarity - my god you have nailed it. I am so unprepared and scared for what lies ahead. I have a nice list of meds and side effects which hopefully will help them sort me out. 5 rounds left..i dont know how you all did/do it. It's a bitch. Im hoping for a good week.
TRIKKI2 xxSign in to react to this post - melclarityMember@Trikki2 I know its grueling, I took 10 days after my 1st infusion on FEC to come good, that's why they made the decision to admit me the next 3 times after the infusion as I was just too ill. The Oncology Nurse I remember saying as I began that usually how you are the 1st infusion dictates the rest, for me this was true, for some it isn't though. I can't stress enough how important it is to do 1 day at a time and 1 step. That was my only hope as it's a very tough road that you just aren't prepared for on any level. xSign in to react to this post
