Peripheral Neuropathy success

(Re posted as requested with new title)

Just thought I would share the success I've had with Alpha Lipoec Acid for my peripheral neuropathy.

It's an antioxidant support, I've been taking 1 tablet with breakfast and dinner, 400mg (says you can up to 3 a day) suggested by my Med Onc and it has really helped!

I hope others may have success with it too xx

  • I started it 2 months post chemo is my neuropathy came back with a vengeance! I would give your Med Onc a call just to check they are happy. No script I just got it at a natural herbal shop
  •  @JoeyLiz thank you so much for posting this and thank you @kmakm for sending me in this direction. JoeyLiz, how long post chemo did you start Alpha Lipoec Acid and does there seem to be a timeframe in which you need to start it for it to be effective? I don't see my oncologist for another month. Would it be worth a phone call, (do you need a script) and get it started earlier?

@Sister, I too have this on my list for my oncologist (who I don't rate at all by the way). I would be interested to hear what yours says today.

  • I've got this listed on my questions for the onc tomorrow.

I also seem to remember someone recommending magnesium spray (from Priceline?) and I thought it was for peripheral neuropathy but now I can't find the post.  It is entirely possible that I dreamt it, of course.
