Pain in armpit
hell this armpit pain is the pits for sure. Pain relief only dulls it down. And I'm getting grouchy. I have tried every bra I have in my draw to stop agravating it but nothing seems to be working. My shoulder care excersises are getting less along with it. Any suggestions
onto results from pathology good clear Margins around most of the tumour oncologist would have liked more at one particular area so radiation is a definite she would have liked the chemo to have worked better but not enough response for the amount I had and with the neuropathy definitely no more. I start the blocker Anastrozole tomorrow looking at a min 5 years and then some. Apparently my tumour thrived on oestrogen.
i see the breast surgeon on Tuesday and get the stitches out. And she will look at the lymph pathology some question over only having 4 glands removed 2 fully involved the other 2 clear.
The radiation oncologist is the following week starting the next faze will depend on what the surgeon says. This is a bit like being back at the beginning Waiting for everyone to plan it out.

- socodaMemberHey @cranky_granny did you know you can shop at cotton on online? Bought myself a totally mad winter jumper last year that I wore when I left hospital after surgery. And they have all of their specials on there too!!! Woohoooooooo!!!(although some would say not the best when you already have too many clothes bwahahahaha) Xx Cath
- primekMemberThe amoena bra (as above ) I found very comfy. I coud not wear the berlei bra. The Target version is pretty good but much firmer than the amoena.
- cranky_grannyMemberI am afraid that I am not very well suited to the gift Bra from the nurse. I've tried a few times now and still find it digs into my ribs too much I just use it for when I go to Doctors for ease. I found a couple in target that I am trying. haven't been able to get to cotton on got called to school so ended my shopping trip.
I manage to massage the lump down in the shower and it helps. I found the tendon to still be very tight I think its called cording?? Working more on those exercises more than the actual movement in the shoulder . I can get my arm behind my head and flat on the pillow and the straight arm raises are good but the wall climb is torture. My sister keeps telling me my expectations are too high. Who knows.
Off to see the Radiation Oncologist tomorrow for the plan for the next stage. The battle rages on but victory is in site. - LadyLaceMemberHi @cranky_granny, I was given one of these bras after surgery by the breastcare nurse and have purchased extras online. I have found them very comfortable.

all thebest B - cranky_grannyMember@melclarity I think I will take your advise on that one just have to be less impatient and wait. I had been fitted and the lady was good enough to show me what to check for when trying them on that's how I managed to get the one particular target bra that fitted beautifully the bra shop lady was amused that it fitted so well but I did by a good bra from her just for her honesty.
@SoldierCrab I'll check Cotton On out we have one here in the riff. - SoldierCrabMemberCotton on had boob tubes a while back I got some
- melclarityMember@cranky_granny I used to do that too, just buy off the shelf until about 10 years ago, I went and got fitted properly OMG I couldnt believe I was never wearing the right size at all, I thought I was uuugh!! I was always wearing a 12C...Ummm I was a 10DD LOL. Wondering if you can get by for now and when youre ready maybe getting fitted? M x
- cranky_grannyMemberThanks ladies. I have been using the pads it gives some relief from the rubbing.
GerryB I checked out that website. They look interesting my problem is the sizing. Everything I have tried buying online so far don't fit. I wear C cup now was a DD. If they made a 17 I would be fine. I think I am just frustrated I have always bought a target brand bra that I could just walk in and buy off the shelf. And for the 6 months since BC and the body changes etc have wasted so much money on bras. I might just get the sewing machine out and make some boob tubes with halterneck strap.
I get stitches out tomorrow that will be one less concern.
