Joint Pain

Hi everyone I got diagnosed in February and I’m currently getting Zoladex and taking Aromasin. Just wondering if there is anything I can take for the joint pain to go away? Thanks Jess
  • Hi @JessC I am sorry that you are experiencing joint pain.

I take Femara (Letrozole) and so far I haven't experienced joint pain, though many women do. I had read that taking the Brand (in this case Femara) rather than a generic may assist with pain relief, as the fillers can be different. So far that's working for me.

Some people have had success with tart cherry capsules and even the antihistamine Claratine.

There is a Facebook group, Anastrozole(Arimidex)/Letrozole/Exemestane/ Hormone Therapy Support Group, and there is a lot of information there.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/384867198389816

I hope those resources may help. xx

  • Hi Zoffiel, I’m going to be making turmeric lattes to see if that helps with pain. Turmeric is an anti inflammatory
  • I wish I could say 'Yes, take ***' but shared experience tells us that there is very little which helps. And the drugs which do help are not the sort of things you want to take long term.
Exercise gives temporary relief. Time also makes a difference--whether to the pain or our capacity to cope with/ignore it, I'm not sure. Mxx
