  • I don't think so @youngdogmum but you could check.

I had a couple of weeks where my hot flushes seemed to have backed off a little. I thought to myself 'maybe this is it, maybe my body is adjusting'... Nup, they've ramped up again. Bloody hot and sweaty. Today has been particularly bad. Spent a lot of the day doing Mum's Taxi driving and most of it with the windows down despite it being 13Β°. And the sweaty night ones, they are hideous, and go on for SO long. Last night I repeatedly lay there in bed, starkers, with the doona off, for 10 - 15 minutes at a time. Impossible to get a good night's sleep.

BC has destroyed my quality of life. It will be interesting to see if the hot flushes abate when I take a two month AI break at the end of the year.

Hey, how's your husband's hair?! Has he allowed it to regrow or is he keeping pace with yours? K xox
  • @kmakm Kate does that mean someone like myself is eligible? Not that I'm in Vic, but I'd love to help find a way to end these and the night sweats πŸ˜– Counting down the years until I don't have them, oh wait that will be never ha ha ha 🀣
  • That is so silly that they don't put that info up as 'MUST READ' before ringing ....... it would not be difficult to do - and would narrow down those contacting the researcher & disappointment for those on AIs, hoping for a solution  :(
  • It really does. The poor researcher has begged them to disclose the parameters up front but they won't so she's endlessly speaking to people like me who want to help but are ineligible. :#
  • Oops my fault, trying to be helpful. Many thanks for the clarification @kmakm, somewhat limits the field!
  • Please note that this is the same study that has been posted on the forum several times. If you are under 55, in menopause and take an AI you are NOT eligible unless you have had your ovaries removed, or had an hysterectomy, or your tubes tied, or having a monthly Zoladex injection.
