Hot & Sweaty

Hello.

I've just finished 4 rounds of chemo, had my mastectomy in January. I was wondering when the hot flushes stopped for anyone else? It's only been 2wks, but today it felt like I was constantly in a flush...more then usual.

I'm 41, haven't had children yet so a fertility specialist put me on a special nasel spray that basically put my ovaries to sleep during the chemo, I'm sure this added to the flushes.

I guess I'm just looking for a light at the end of my tunnel!

Thank u.

Peace & Love x

  • Speak to the specialist about it as aparently there are meds that do not intefere with BC treatment that are very good at controlling the hot flushes

Saw my Gyno who is also reproductive endcrinologist the other day and he suggested there were several now...

But you should also check your hormones. I am 44 and my Gyno was saying that he was certain Chemo was going to push me into menopause as it was a high likelihood for anyone in their early 40s muschless at 44 so if still wanting to have kids make sure that the gertility specialist is keeping an eye out.  I know some women had frozen eggs to ensure they could still have children post chemo...
