Feel like I have hit the wall at week 10 taxol

Hi all,
I have been on chemo since Dec 30, 2017, did the four rounds of AC, which was awful, started taxol and have had a reasonably good run with it , worked etc,  but yesterday I seemed to hit the wall, and had to stay at home, today. I actually didn’t leave my bed only to get some food. I feel totally overcome with tiredness, I hope  this resolves a bit, I feel so helpless about it, working has for me been the saving grace as it has kept normality and social interaction. I feel like such a burden on my family,

  • I spent the last 2 weeks on my recliner watching Netflex. I was emotionally and mentally exhausted.
  • I know I often feel like a burden on my family. But it's nonsense of course! We didn't choose to get breast cancer. There's nothing we can do about it except get through our treatment as best as we can so we can be well again for our families. They don't think we're a burden, they love us and just want us to be healthy. So we can do the things with and for them that we always have.
  • @Spillsy, well done getting to 10 and still working! I hit the wall at 8 ,hit the couch and watched Netflix. Keep your eye on the 'finished chemo' prize and it'll be over before you know it. You're not a burden , you've got to listen to your body and if you're exhausted , rest up and take it one day at a time, lots of cliches I know but it makes sense. All the best and take care x
  • Many thanks, for you reply, 17 days to go until I finish chemo, keep forgetting I have been doing this for nearly six months..... and yes think it’s taking its toll!!

you have done amazingly to get this far before hitting the wall.....
I was a train wreck on AC and then it went down hill from there.
Breathe and know this will pass but it does accumulate in our bodies....
