Doxetaxol
Hey there
So after meeting with my oncologist today, im a little nervous about having my 3 rounds of Docetaxel. I know everyone reacts differently but can anyone share their tips and experiences for me please? I have 1 more round of fec-d then onto this one.

- Trikki2MemberOh no not at all. @Ellamary98. It want realness. My oncol said docetaxol is worse than fec but some say its better. I guess everyone is different.

Mostly, I found the first three rounds ok. Some bone pain and muscle weakness, but no nausea. Just a word of warning, though- stay out of the sun in the days after your treatment! I discovered the hard way what it meant to be photosensitive, and sported a swollen, red hand and arm from 10 minutes sitting in direct sun, which developed into a full skin peel. It was dreadful. Taxol is powerful stuff, for sure, which is, of course exactly what we need. Take care and all the best. xxSign in to react to this post

Love t xxSign in to react to this post - jmichelleMember@Trikki2, hi lovely, I have just finished round 2( TCx4) with a neulasta injection following each chemo, I take one loratadine 10mg (antihistamine )morning of the injection and one a day for next 4days (check with oncologist first, so they can give the ok, this is an individual thing so I had to get permission first), this seemed to help with bone ache, my were minimal and could be handled with a Panadol, otherwise not too bad on the side effects. heartburn is my thing for first couple days after chemo, but I tend to push the fluids and try to keep moving as much as I can. Most of all, day by day is the way I handle it, keeps me from getting overwhelmed, hugs for you xxxxxSign in to react to this post
