Chemo 3 13th day

Chemo 3 13th day (actually I think it’s the 14th counting the chemo day) Thursday, 10th March. My tight chest and difficulty swallowing seems to be a lot better today. My itchy hands and feet aren’t quite as itchy especially if I do not walk about much so hubby took the dogs walking this morning and I stayed in my chair. I think it is nerve damage as there are no red marks, just a feeling of something crawling under the skin. Best to stay off my feet as much as possible and it might go away quicker.

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I was approached by a Bupa health insurance writer who was keen to share my story first hand but as anonymous so I agreed. No those glamorous looking photos are not me lol. Here is the link. http://theblueroom.bupa.com.au/manage-and-recover/cancer/my-journey-with-cancer

  • Hi Brenda

I think it was a very helpful thing for you to share your story through Bupa. It is one of the most realistic accounts I have ever read of what happens in this 'journey'. When I was first diagnosed I read as much as I could about what to expect but many stories I found were brief summaries leaving out much of the detail that I so needed to hear.

I really identified with the bit about now appreciating a lot of the everyday things that we miss as we 'trample' through life. So true.

Hope that those side effects settle soon for you. Only one more chemo? Take care. Deanne xxx
