any suggestions ??

I am looking for any suggestions regarding hyper skin sensitivity post op (masectomy). The dr said I have to let it settle but some days cant stand anything touching my chest.  Also tightness & pain around & under arm where nodes were taken out. Having problems stretching my arm.  Has anyone come cross "miracle" cream to ease the burning feeling.

  • thanks ladies, i will give your suggestions a try.  surgery was 2 wks ago but this was 2nd op. 1st was 5 wks ago to remove lump only but masectomy was needed due to size of lump.

  • About 3 days ago I started massaging in sorbolene moisturiser to my breasts 2-3 times a day. This is after the steri strips fell off. I'm not sure if this contributed to the improvement in sensitivity. Good luck with it all Louie
  • Hi there, I don't know when you had your mastectomy, I had mine exactly 4 weeks ago, including reconstruction. I found until the last few days that the skin between the breasts and about an inch up the breast was maddening sensitive. Painful even, sometimes felt like so cold it burned. Any loose clothing that touched the area was painful. I found wearing a close fitting singlet top or arh bra or soft cotton post op bra helped to ease the sensitivity. But they had to be close fitting, not slip at all. I am very pleased to have feeling at all and now after 4 weeks it feels back to normal. Hope this helps, Louie.
