- kamadaMember@PV123 Pity you don’t have a “blue tit” like mine to add to your impressive display! 😂 Thank god we can still laugh!
- PV123MemberThank you everyone, it is so good to share with others who are on the same journey. I contacted the Onco who advised me to get a stool test. I will keep you updated Kamada. My husband says that chemo has made me very colourful ( my big toe was bright red colour after last weeks chemo, yesterday I had black poo and today I have green poo).
- cranky_grannyMemberi agree with Zoffiel definitely black stool needs reporting.Better to have it checked even if turns out to be nothing
- Caz1MemberI'm on paclitaxel. Tummy worse than AC. I'm swerving between constipation and diarrhoea.( And bad wind # TMI ) Fairly Ordinary.
- ZoffielMemberBlack stool, unless you are taking an iron supplement, needs to be reported. Mine was frequently an unpleasant grey colour for a day or two--quite convinced that i was pooing out the lining of my bowel. Anyway, tell your GP, breast care nurse or oncologist, whom ever you get on better with. Mxx
- kamadaMemberHi @PV123. I have just got home after second Paclitaxel and straight to the loo with a bout of diarrhoea. After the first infusion I also had one episode of diarrhoea but it took a couple of hours longer to happen. It was only one episode so didn’t worry. It looks like it may be an ongoing side effect - maybe the steroids even??. I came on to ask the same question as you have. If it is limited to one episode this time as well I won’t be too concerned. Time will tell. I think you should contact your oncologist or chemo nurse ASAP about the black stool though just to make sure things are ok. Let me know how you get on and I will compare notes as treatment continues. Chemo sure gives you classy conversation starters doesn’t it? 😉😘
