A very interesting article actually - specifically when many of the comments are attributed to female Breast Cancer Surgeon Liz O'riordan, who can talk from experience as she has had 2 lots of BC & been thru the whole emotional & physical wreck that it can turn us into ...... everyone else (other than Julie Doughty who is actively advocating for her female patients) is just parroting what they've read in text books or discussed with other male Doctors & specialists ..... and let's be honest here - they really don't give a stuff about YOUR side effects! You are just a whinger to them! That's why I've got a female Rad Onc & Onc!! I reckon they listen better & understand - because there are just TOO MANY of us telling the same story!

I have side effects on tamoxifen and every day I take it, I feel delighted to make cancer less likely to kill me. If there's a disruption in supply with Brexit I'll be booking a GP appointment abroad. For those with depression on it, there's medication for that.
Been taking tamoxifen for 2 years and have no side effects whatsoever. Just lucky compared to others I guess.
TBH, I can fully understand why so many men & women divorce in the 40s-50s age group (even without the 'BC added' effect!) .... and often 'natural' menopause is a huge side of it, even if the woman doesn't realise they're going thru it at the time.
