After a break, Letrozole, continued...
Drug holiday over, today I started taking Letrozole again. At night this time. Don't know that it will make any difference but worth a try.
If/when (she said optimistically) the side effects return, I'll start my curcumin trial.
It's been really really good to be pain (and dandruff) free for a few weeks. I feel it's given me a boost, and more strength to continue.
If the side effects don't settle down my oncologist was quite keen to put me onto Tamoxifen. From what I've read here I'm not so sure. Better the devil you know...?

- arpieMemberSorry to hear that @Josephine66 - I am trialling a Sports muscle/strain Rub called Percutane .... it appears to have loosened my finger stiffness (I can now form a fist in my left hand) but the thumbs in particular on both hands still very painful.
I was only on Letrozole for 6 weeks (I've been on Exemestane for 6 months now) but this pain now is what Letrozole gave me way back in the beginning - but took 6 months to develop with Exemestane! :(
For just the 1% likelihood of preventing a recurrence - I, to, am thinking of either giving it a break or stopping it altogether! I'll keep going for the meantime tho.
That's a bugger @kmakmSign in to react to this post - Josephine66Member@kmakm 2 months break. So over it. Can't bend my right thumb and yes I'm right handed. I've been up for 3 hours today and moving around to get joints loose. Pain in bones and stiffness no better than 5am this morning.Sign in to react to this post

- kmakmMemberBloody lost my words today for the first time in weeks, and had the difficulty concentrating on and following the conversation thing for the first time in weeks. Now that I'm back on the Letrozole, this stuff has reappeared. Gargh!Sign in to react to this post
- Josephine66MemberLetrozole sucks. I'm on 2nd round too and side effects have come back with a vengeance. Seriously considering stopping. Quality of life is getting bashed about. So tired 😳Sign in to react to this post
