After a break, Letrozole, continued...
Drug holiday over, today I started taking Letrozole again. At night this time. Don't know that it will make any difference but worth a try.
If/when (she said optimistically) the side effects return, I'll start my curcumin trial.
It's been really really good to be pain (and dandruff) free for a few weeks. I feel it's given me a boost, and more strength to continue.
If the side effects don't settle down my oncologist was quite keen to put me onto Tamoxifen. From what I've read here I'm not so sure. Better the devil you know...?

- kmakmMember@iserbrown Nothing to be assessed really, it's the Letrozole. If I opt to stop taken it my oncologist will put me onto Tamoxifen. Better the devil I know at this point I think. My breast surgeon told me the best effect is in the first two years so I am determined to plough on for that amount of time. Maybe then I'll chat to the onc about making a change.
- iserbrownMemberYou really should have it assessed.
- kmakmMember@Artferret They're not swollen, just painful!
- SisterMemberHope they work!
- ArtferretMember@kmakm Just be careful, cos if your fingers go numb or tingly they're too tight. Sometimes you have to wait till your hands aren't swollen to wear them...at least that's what I'm finding. Good luck Kate,
Cath (who's wearing one now🙂) - AfraserMemberGood luck. Whatever it takes.......
- kmakmMemberMaybe I'm a sucker, but having spent the last hour in the supermarket repeatedly dropping items, and in constant pain, I just saw these in an Instagram ad and bought a pair. I'm getting desperate...
- kmakmMember@Afraser Lovely!
- AfraserMemberI know it's not the same, but a hot wax pedicure convinces me temporarily that my neuropathied feet are just fine. Doesn't last more than a few days but delightful nevertheless.
- kmakmMemberSitting in a comfy chair at the mall having a foot and lower leg reflexology massage. I explained about my ankles being permanently painful so the very talented man is paying extra attention to them. For a brief few minutes while he rubs them I am in no pain. It's absolute bliss. Can I live here?!
