@Flaneuse the Herbs app by mskcc which is recommended by BCNAcan give you the contraindications and extensively so on the professional site.
I think it’s time I gave curcumin a go as well.I am on Letrozole and have been since 1/8/17 .I managed reasonably well but since January seem to have developed tendon/ nerve issues. I went to the GP who diagnosed tennis elbow after xrays showed nothing. She put me on Voltaren Gel for 2 weeks which has been very effective at treating discomfort . I took myself off to the physio and have had two visits after reading online it was a recommended option and tbh was dissatisfied with GP who didn’t examine the arm at all.Friends have been urging all manner of things from cortisone injections which I gather aren’t medically popular these days to chiropractics.
My issues are tingling/ numb fingers in the morning - manageable with movement , pain/aching in right forearm which is distressing and later in the day a burning feeling in the palm of my right hand.As a right hander it has limited my activities as I have been told to rest it.
I have read online that they are now acknowledging some issues with tendons and nerves due to AIs including carpal tunnel.I also read that Letrozole is the preferred drug for er+ postmenopausal women.
It is a quandary but feel it’s time I visited my oncologist to discuss as well as talk further to my physio and change GP .I gather MRI is the correct diagnostic tool for nerve/ tendon issues and may ask about that.I know I cannot cope with another 3 and a half years of this IF Letrozole is the cause.I acknowledge there can be other causes and maybe it is just all tennis elbow of unknown origin but am suspicious.
