When laughter is the best medicine
Today I reconnected with an old friend after she posted on Facebook about her breast cancer survival.
While we were chatting she said:
‘I’d be happy to give you a couple of pointers’
To which I replied:
’That would be awesome ‘cos they cut mine off!’
She eventually laughed hahaha
So what are the ways that some of you have used humour to lock heads with Breast Cancer and tell it where it can shove its ugly head?

- EastmumMember@JJ70 - sorry for the very delayed response - where did you get that wonderful, wonderful colourful soft turban! I need to have one - it's absolutely gorgeous and you look incredible! xx
- JJ70MemberI also got people to send me funny jokes and videos every chemo day. I had chemo every second Friday so I called it Funny Friday...instead of chemo day. I had enough funny videos and pics to get me through most of it. Took me away from the cannula and to a nicer place!

I was hoping to lose weight too .... but it didn't happen! LOL xx - j9kMemberMy son has autism spectrum disorder, and is very literal/logical. When I had to had my second DX, requiring a mastectomy, he was 13. I was very careful how much info to give and how to explain it as he suffers chronic anxiety also. Around that time, as us women often do, I had been talking about losing some weight. My gorgeous boy rationalised the situation as best he could based on weight: weight before surgery VS after. In reassuring tones he said to me (about the MX) "don't worry mum - at least you'll weigh less!"

- kmakmMember@Eastmum Gawd no! Bit here's a little something for you...
There once was a gal named Yvette
Who got into a fight with her breasts
She rallied team chirpy
She dealt with it early
And got the whole lot off her chest.
