The beginning

I'm in Perth too Emm.  I was diagnosed the first time at 35 and then again at 42.  I'm 46 now (nearly 47) and finished all of my treatment except for Tamoxifen.

It is very overwhelming when you are first diagnosed.....really hard to get your head around!

As others have said, take one day at a time

Hi Em, am sorry to hear about your diagnosis ... It is shocking times for you right now. Never have the words step at a time been so true ... Stay strong and focused on vibrant good health. I am a year down the track and look back at the whole emotional roller coaster that was, but it is do-able believe in yourself. In reflection I am grateful for the way this disease has strengthened my resolve and deepened my character for me. It's true it is an awful journey but not one without silver linings yet to be discovered... Be well Lx

Hey Emm, so sorry you have had to jump on this roller coaster of breast cancer. It certainly has it's ups and downs! I have recently started my journey as well, diagnosed in early august. I have also had a mastectomy and auxiliary clearance and will have my second chemo next Monday . Surround yourself by positive people and good advice from some breast care nurses. I found they gave me great perspective, which really helps. One day at a time! You will get through! Sarah xx
