Hi ladies! I thought I’d reach out & ask if anyone is going through same thing as me! As I don’t feel I’m getting anywhere at the Doctors even though tests done, bloods, heart monitor & all come back ok!?!?!? So I had a bad dizzy turn back in 2021 at work & ambulance called. Nothing for 2 years then from Jan ‘23 to now I have had 7 more. Some worse than others. Going dizzy, vomiting, some taking days to get over. Normally I feel it come on the dizziness & nauseous but one of my recent ones, there was no signs at all & I collapsed at work as I walked down the hallway momentarily blacked out, then started to vomit as usual, this one actually scared me as no sign or symptoms at all. Obviously went to Doctors again, more blood tests, heart monitor- all clear! Still Left with no answers!!!Doctor ruled out vertigo early on, he mentioned vestibular migraines to which he put me on medication as I was getting headaches through the night which I was weaned off! But I have no headache when the dizzy turns have happened. Now i feel in limbo as I don’t know why I’m having these dizzy turns & left with no answers! So wondering if anyone is going through same! Just hard not knowing & when next ones going to happen & with nothing from Doctors 🙏 ☺️

When these dizzy spells start do you have an underlying reason, like a cold or ear infection?

@TillyBilly can you ask your doctor for a referral for a ct brain scan.

Thanks, I looked up the Ménière’s disease from your comment. My hearings fine, I literally just had that tested when I had my eye test. I’ll look at labyrinthitis. Any suggestion is a good one atm. ☺️

@TillyBilly I Forgot to mention that the ent specialist that hubby went to did a special test which they spun him around and recorded it somehow, something to do with the overproduction of the fluid in the inner ear on one side. Before he got up of a morning he would have to balance the fluid out by gently moving his head from one side to the other. He said it helped. He couldn’t walk in a straight line.

Sounds like my vertigo. I would ask for some tablets just to see if it makes a difference. Sometimes tests don't pick up the obvious. Also, I get migraines and find if I have electrolytes everyday then it stops these from occurring. I used to just make sure I had plenty of water but now have to have the electrolytes as well. These things are such a hassle to navigate. Sending big hugs

Extreme dehydration can cause all those symptoms - the dizziness, vomiting, passing out .... it happened to me when I'd over-exerted myself freshwater fishing (in waders) & had not been drinking any water ...
I also went deathly pale and sweated profusely (which sounds weird, when you are dehydrated!)
It happened to me again last year after 5 hrs in the kayak .... My buddy got me a watered down bottle of Gatorade & it helped me recover in an hour or 2 - back fishing again! ;)

Have they checked you for Autonomic Dysfunction? I was diagnosed with this and had quite a few symptoms as you mention. My worst dizziness occurs if I've been, say, leaning forward and down to get something from a lower kitchen cupboard, and then having done that, stand up straight. I was also checked out for vestibular and other inner ear problems, and they were ruled out. I hope they get to the bottom of this for you.

We all react differently medically, some sail through treatment with minimal effect others suffer lots of side effects.

Perhaps going back to your GP to say it's causing you anxiety

One of the times I was admitted to hospital they gave me an exercise todo, might be similar thing of balancing fluid to do with inner ear & crystals! But that seems to relate to vertigo which my Doctor ruled out!

Hi @TillyBilly thats got to be annoying. I remember my husband had similar symptoms he was eventually diagnosed with Ménière’s disease he lived on valium and had to take all added salt out of his diet. What finally twigged his doctor to his diagnosis was his hearing deteriorated hope its not that for you. The other thing they ruled out first vertigo then next was labyrinthitis eventually they found the reason.
its only a suggestion but worth looking into.
