Where do I start......
Step 1 - try not to panic!!
Saw my breast surgeon today and mentioned the bowel trouble and that I had a CT scan yesterday, not reported on. She had a look at scan and didn't like what she saw.....about 6-8 scattered white spots under the fat layer I think she said of stomach, and thickening of lower bowel...she rang radiologist asked them to report it immediately then was going down to see them, making her patients wait ....she rang my GP who was off today so I messaged her and asked if my surgeon could call her - they discussed it and my GP had organised an appt with specialist for Monday.
Sooooooo, not impressed but thankful for them organising fast - am just wanted to spill my guts basically.
Here I go on the not so merry go round again.

- Not operating. Another colonoscopy as he didn't get biopsies of tumour. Pallitive chemo thats it.

- Wishing you all the best for your surgery @LucyBell xx - that is terrific that your surgeon should be able to do the surgery before Xmas.
Sometimes Oncs like to give some chemo before surgery, to reduce the size of the tumour ... no doubt they will discuss that with you today xx.

Surgeon a lovely man and said, I am really concerned....tumour in ascending colon and spread to omentem - so listed for a right hemicolectomy and omentectomy - before xmas!! Thats the plan unless oncology have another opinion tomorrow.....He said I'll have a terrible xmas thinking about it so will get it done. What a nightmare year and my thoughts are that this is aggressive. Did it come from my sentinel node??
Why didn't they do a petscan after I finished radiation-so many questions flying around my head.
I have a fight on my hands alright. - @LucyBell Great words from Blossom. I don’t post half my antics on here. Of late a bit busy for much. The roller coaster goes up and down with twists and turns i think of it this way the downhill drop is frightening but once its finished you can say that was scary but I stayed the distance.Im waiting for blood results at the moment due up tick in markers and to a new lesion at last Bone scan. I’ve got oncology tomorrow so I’m in limbo (thats the bottom of the dipper ⤵️before I rattle up the rise ⤴️again.)
this last week besides work I’ve been doing gift wrapping for a charity organisation in my area at the westfield shopping centre. We are trying to raise funds for chair/beds to go into the palliative care, ICU and cancer wards for those that are doing long days and nights with their loved ones at my local hospital.Interesting stuff gets wrapped and interesting people some very generous ones and a few downright stingy ones. We have a laugh sometimes and a lot of encouragement from the other volunteers and shoppers.Today I couldn’t finish my full shift. But i will make up for it on 24th and Christmas eve I’ll make sure I'm well rested before i go this time.I hope you find a fun or interesting way to distract yourself while you do the drawn out waiting waiting waiting
💞 🕊️ 💪 to you - You got this @LucyBell We are made of sterner stuff than what we give ourselves credit for. You will find out more at your surgeon appt. Until then, keep busy. Sometimes I wonder if I will get through but I always do. Your body may be getting tired but don't let that spark in your attitude go. My filters disappeared first time around and my family are aghast at the things I say. Every time you have a chance, hop on here and read some of the antics we survivors get up to. Sending big hugs
- Didn't actually get a full report but got the gist of it - my GP's referrel to Oncology team hadn't been opened after 1 week!!! Then they offered Jan 8th appt to which I said was not acceptable...
My breast surgeon got right on it....even though she is not my GP (who will be away over xmas) The medical team meet tomorrow, Thursday I have Surgeon appt and Friday Oncology appt...I feel numb and tired after today.....possibility of chemo first then surgery, but I don't even know full extent what am dealing with but it's not come from breast....no, I had to grow another tumour ! It's also in fat fold of tummy, so xmas will be a rocky ride I think.... - Thank you - I'll get full report tomorrows appt and see what the plan is. Talking with my Gp's husband today - he's our skin DR - he said it's going to be rough...is always to the point. I didn't ask anymore - full story tomorrow. Scary shite! Of course will be tough but am keeping it mostly together ....tomorrow might be different.
While I am in control - I went and had my hair cut to well above my shoulders - feels soooooo short after always having long hair - just showing I'm ready for a fight!!
