hi @KMAC46 I am at (still have balance of Herceptin treatments to go) Holmesglen Private in Moorabbin, so that is where my experience is. The port was raised by my doctor, but my choice was not to have, and see how it went, but my veins have held up no problems, the nurses were all extremely skilled at inserting canulas each week. I only had 1 node removed so did have the option of using that arm if the need arose, but hasn't so far, and have managed to keep it all to the one main arm.
Perhaps someone who has had a port may be able to give you their experience of it?
