  • Hi Silks thanks, I have already done the chemo bit, was',t great but survived.

I am sure everything will be ok cant help stressing, it has been a long 6 months. Good to hear you are over your surgery and doing well. Having friens over tonight and hopefully will be able to relax a bit. Keep smiling and be strong as everyone tells you to be take carex

  • Sorry Rowdy. I just did a check on the date of my surgery. It was not 4 weeks ago. It was 5 1/2 weeks ago. Apologies. I guess it shows that time is goes quickly, even with the not so good bits. :) Silke x
  • Thank you for tur kind thoughts, just taking it one day at a time.

  • Thanks Iam just trying to get to Tuesday, if only I could turn my brain off for a while,

Good to hear your surgery is over and your recovery is on its way, take care.

  • I remember your other post, where you said you could see everyone feels the same.Try to look past this, and read the posts from the women that mostly say," it wasn't as bad as I thought". :) Our anxiety levels are through the roof before a mastectomy, but I'm guessing that this time next week you will be here reassuring other ladies with the same journey ahead that it's not too bad.Keep yourself busy,as allowing yourself to think about it too much, definitely makes it worse.Take care and please stay in touch.xoxRobyn

  • Hi rowdy, you are allowed to be scared, it's only natural. I'm a day post mastectomy now and I was so scared I almost vomited. But then I was in, the staff and Dr were amazing at the Mount and it was all over. It's really not that bad...I didn't have an immediate recon but I can tell you the breast surgery is not that bad at all. Drains are a bit of a pain and more of an annoyance than painful. Take deep breaths and keep busy til the day. Sending you hugs and wishing you well. Jen
