Surgery tomorrow !

ah I can't believe the day is nearly here! Tomorrow nice and early at 645am I'm being admitted for my bilateral mastectomy and expanders. 

I was feeling a bit nervous until now but now I'm absolutely terrified! I'm not terrified of the actual operation and being under GA but more about the road to recovery after and the pain. 

At least my op is early so it's over and done with. 

Im not one to leave the house without my wig and even when going to chemo I'd still go with it on. But tomorrow I don't care, I'm going with my scarf on and no makeup , looking ugly and all.

    Celestial Seasonings make a nice herbal tea called Sleepy time - available in supermarkets contains chamomile amongst other herbs

    All the very best for your surgery tomorrow @Cynth6. They are usually very good with post surgery analgesia so hopefully you will be in happy land for a while afterwards. I hope all heals well for you and that your recovery is problem free. I will be thinking of you. Oh and you rock that bald head girlfriend. It's far from being ugly xx Lesley

    Hi , This sure is a journey where you think your not letting it get to you , but I can't seem to get a good night sleep. Any advice would be appreciated Shazx

    You will be carefully cocooned with analgesics to minimize discomfort - they are very experienced people in this field and will do their utmost to  protect you  whilst you recover as they have done for so many of us. Feel safe in their hands.

    Ugly? Not possible. Courage and determination are beautiful and downright sexy. You've set your course and you will get where you're heading. You sound ready for anything. Best wishes and keep that bald head high!!

    Dear @Cynth6 one step closer to being cancer free tomorrow. The road to recovery is one well trodden by many and you will get thru it as they have with great support from medicos and your mates on this blog. I don't think you'll be ugly without your wig and makeup but if it makes you feel that way then maybe you should reconsider. Will be thinking of you tomorrow morning and sending you big hugs .
