Hi
Well done! A positive attitude does help with getting through the hurdles with less butterflies so we relax more and it is easier for everyone in the short term at least.
Your journey beginnings very similar to mine! I can laugh now when I look at my left Breast because there is still a small blue line on my side. The sentinel node biopsy, which had times of pain and like you needing the experts in the end... was done in early February 2014 along with a lumpectomy -and like you everything went well during and after and the scars are fading now and no pain at all there now. However in my case more lumps were found so I ended up having a mastectomy and reconstruction in late May. Fortunately it was caught early and the surgery was successful so my only treatment is hormone therapy (tamoxifen). So nearly 4 months later I feel pretty good apart from some pain in tummy area and getting accustomed to the scars and to a new full breast with no nipple. I too have been positive all the way through so I'm confident you will get through the next stage equally in control ( as much as we can be) ...my only hurdle at the moment is trying to find work!!! All the best regards Amanda
