Sore armpit after surgery?

Hello lovely ladies, wondering if someone can help me please.
Had a partial mastectomy and two lymph nodes removed late December.
Healing nicely, having like a stinging sensation under the arm pit, any suggestions?

    Is it a constant pain or it comes and goes? Three years on and I still get stinging and sometimes throbbing but it is fleeting and doesn't last. In particularly hot weather (I have lymphodema) sometimes I place a cold wet washer under my arm just to cool things down. It is bliss! <3

    Having someone ferret around in your armpit often causes problems. Its very common for the node site to be more painful than your boob. There are stitches and probably staples in there and some nerve and muscle damage is usual. Not that you are routinely informed about any of that. If you have a breast care nurse, give them a call and they can give you some technical information about what to expect as you heal.

    Keep a close watch on the area and if it feels hot or swollen you need to get it checked out. Mxx
