Sore and sorry
Hi Troopers!
Said goodbye to my little friend on Sunday, aka "Drainie" .So much better without her hanging from my side, getting caught on things etc.....
Now I'm still swollen and bruising coming out from where the tape was on my dressings. i still have a dressing over the drain site though.
Yesterday went for CT body scan and Bone Scan, while I was in having the bone scan they asked am i sore in my back, hips, knees and feet? I said nothing more than my usual Osteo pain...next minute they are doing a 3D scan of my bones in my hips, knees and feet. That wasn't ordered on the form, I thought...While lying there, feeling rather uncomfortable, especially as the assistant kept touching my right arm! (felt like shouting, what part of don't touch my arm, i have had surgery on that breast and I have neuralgia!) I couldn't help but think of my Dad, he was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in 2009, they cured that with brachytherapy (radioactive seeds into the prostate), but unfortunately on his 6 monthly scan check up, we got the news it had metastasized to his bone, not just a bone, but his whole bloody spine, neck, shoulders and pelvis! I still remember staring at the scan in disbelief! I gathered my self and nursed him until the day he passed 22/8/13. At the same time, my Mother in law had pancreatic cancer, and I was also taking her to her appointments and chemo, transfusions until she was hospitalised and passed 29/2/12....
I thought, why are they doing this scan? Is it routine? Have they spotted something? I'm hoping i don't get that dreaded phone call on Wednesday "the Dr needs to see you" I'm hoping they were just checking out my Osteoarthritis....praying...hoping...wondering.......again my brain has surrounded me in it's protective fog.....
Love and light for easy recovery and beautiful days...
