Congratulation for raising $2000 dollars for the Cancer Council Relay for Life. You did really well!
Before i started chemo i thought my hair would fall out straight away but it didn't. I started losing my hair 2 1/2 weeks after my 1st chemo, so I shaved it to a No. 1. I thought after my second chemo, all my hair would fall out but it hasn't as yet. I didn't notice my hair fall out as much as the first time. My hair has really thinned out and I do have some small patches of baldness but that's about it.
Next week I will be having my 3rd chemo, I'm not to concerned about losing my hair now because I am getting used to the way I look now and to my surprise I don't hate it, in fact I think it looks ok. If I go out I wear hats, I'm not a wig person. On Monday I'm going to the Look good, Feel Better Workshop, I'm looking forward to that.
Waiting for things to happen can stress you out so I'm hoping my experience about losing my hair may make it easier for you and give you an idea on what to expect. We are all different and on different chemo treatments so our experiences, side effects, etc can be different.
Hope this helps!
