Don't have to go back. Will have to find another good reason for a shopping and lolly snake trip.

Need to see my GP next week for the results of the CT Scan and blood test. It will be nothing, just the physician I am seeing for breathing difficulties  being over cautious.

Anyway good trip to Broome, great day out with a lovely lunch. And managed  to reduce the kids inheritance.

ERK!!  I would have hated drinking all that water on a long drive, too!!  ;)    At least you had practise for the 3hr drive back .... to drink MORE again! :(  I bet you found the instructions (as performed) after you got home!!  

Well ladies
Managed the 3 hour drive to Broome for CT Scan today with only 1 "wee" stop at Roebuck Roadhouse!   Drank the 2 litres of water all the  way there as requested and then find out that I only had to drink the 2 litres of water AFTER the scan to flush out the contrast dye! I am sure that the instructions were to drink between Derby and Broome. Oh well blame cancer brain.

Anyway the radiologist said at least I was well hydrated.

Results will be available on Tuesday. Got a call to see the GP regarding the blood tests from 2 weeks ago. 

Add the CT Scan and blood tests, all I want to do is get my husband to dig a nice hole with the backhoe in our pindan dirt for me to put my head in. I am fed up of being poked, prodded, pricked and scanned. 

So to compensate and reward myself for being good I ate 1 packet of lolly snakes on the trip home.

Ha ha your gaping hole reminds me of when we decided to redo our kitchen. 

Out came the cupboards, sink carefully removed as we wanted to reuse, only to find that water had been leaking behind the cupboards. 

No problem. House is steel framed clad with fibro so wall repair will be easy. 

Right, now this is Derby. Neither hardware stores had gyprock in stock and probably would not have until the end of the month. So off to Broome we go to visit Bunnings only to find that gyprock has to be ordered in. Geez that was a wasted 440kms round trip. So we wait. Gyprock eventually arrives 3 weeks later. All up we had no back wall for six weeks. (No kitchen either).

The aged cats however kept coming in through the cat door which was a foot away from the non existent kitchen wall.

I reckon.  I have one of those sanders.  Works well on walls.  Does not work well sanding ceilings though.  Guess it doesn't like being upside down. 
 My poor old house ain't what she used to be.  Dry weather, doors shut, wet weather, nope, super dry like now,  not a chance. My poor big dog is terrified of the screen door now as it's tracks are that wonky, depending on the weather, it fell out last time on top of her. Mind you she was trying to break in to the house at the time so she is a bit more wary now.

 I'll give the cover strips a go thank you.  I've just pulled down one more small  bit that had gotten wet and swollen, I tried to ignore it but I couldn't.  Well , I bloody well should have as now I can see the gaping hole where the water had taken out the mortar in the brick. Geez back to Bunnings I go for some more bandaids for the old girl!
Or, maybe I can use it as "natural light".  LOL

Gyprock is the devils work. Both coming and going. The fricking dust get everywhere. You can but cheapish plaster sanders that have a vacuum attachment on them--I wish I'd bought one years ago it would have saved days of cleaning up. The other option is to use cover strips which I think work better on old houses as the joins don't crack as the whole building does the tango during every change in the weather.

Ooh, maybe I should have done that picture on the wall.  :p

  I haven't plastered before so it is a bit of trial, error and lots of youtube how to videos.  I have, however, managed to create a huge mess with smashed up gyprock everywhere which I have continued to walk through and now have a house full of my white footprints  LOL!

Anyhoo, all the ugly bits are out and I only have one more small piece of the new stuff to hang then I can get to plastering the joints.  I do believe there is going to be a few tubes of gap seal required. 
If all else fails and it looks terrible I will pull it all down and expose the brick as a feature wall. We shall see.
It has kept me very busy and distracted and that was the point. 
 So, win, win.  A long awaited job is getting done, my brain has something else to think about and I have learnt something new.

@"Kiwi Angel"  I made the CT for next Thursday so I don't have to sit around overthinking the results for too long.  

Not super keen on having any more surgery unless it's an absolute must. It's taken so damn long to heal already I'd rather not stir it up again. Plus GA and I seriously do not agree.  However, if all else fails it"s an option.

 I will see what the CT and their "conversation" brings then probably do the biopsy I guess...  grumble grumble.  Thanks for the heads up on that one ladies.
 I re read the MRI report and they've given it a BRAIDS score of 3 which means probably benign but given the history yada yada yada you know.

So head back in sand and off to Bunnings (my favourite store) to patch up the wall I destroyed last week.  LOL
