Morning lovlies,
Well thank god that's over with. What a nightmare. aagghh
Sonographer 1.....15 mins just looking for the darn clip. Gulp
Sonographer 2. "I think that's it there" Jeesus "Go get so and so she'll be able to spot it"
Radiologist wanders in and says "Well, you've had lots of nasty biopsies, this should be easier than that" Wrong!!
Radiologist. another 5 mins searching for it.."never mind, if we can't get it this way, we'll do it in the mammogram. Ugghh
Sonographer 3 and radiologist finally think they've got it,
Stupid nurse is trying to distract me by asking if I have already had cancer surgery (obviously missed the scar that was staring her in the face).
By this time all confidence is lost, seriously thinking of bailing on the whole thing and wondering when the cake is going to appear :)
So the theory is if they put the wire from the opposite side straight to the clip is should run right through the middle of the thingy so they can't miss it.
May I just say that trying to push a hookwire needle through scar tissue is just about the most unpleasant thing. There's a whole heap of pushing, shoving and literally pulling my boob from the opposite side towards the needle. First attempt fails and the wire falls out...here we go again.
I seriously thought he was going to put his foot up on the table to get more traction. Obviously pushes past where the local was working and I nearly jump off the table.
By this time zombie mode has disengaged, I'm back and just about had enough of this shit.
Stupid nurse asks how I'm feeling. "I'd rather be poking needles in my fucking eye than be here": She's quiet now.
Finally done with a very long h/wire poking out and taped everywhere to it doesn't fall out again, a quick mammo to check the positioning and off we go 1/2 an hour late for surgery, which means I have to wait for the next slot which is an hour away.
Anyhoo, apart from being pretty black and blue, from what I can see Madame BS has lived up to her reputation. The scar appears quite small and tidy, the rest is a bit hard to see with the dressings but I may not have to sell that kidney after all.
Better scoot, I have a whole shit load of stuff to do before we go away.
Have a great day beautiful people. Lotsa love and thank you so much for all your support as usual.
