One whole year since the end of radiation. Well, it was actually yesterday but, unsurprisingly, I forgot about it until today. I remember at the start when I questioned the surgeon as to how long all this was going to take he said "Well you can pretty much write off most of the next year" It seemed like such a long, long time and such a huge mountain to climb . But, as it does, time keeps on ticking and here I am. Some days it feels like only yesterday and sometimes it feels like a lifetime ago. So yee ha, heading for the two years since surgery. While fantastic it also means here comes the scanxiety again soon. GULP!Love Yaxoxoxoxo

I keep forgetting dates @kezmusc I don't know the exact date I had surgery for the recurrence (sometime in Sept 2016) When I finished chemo --March 2017?--rads..ummm? I've got all the info, but it just doesn't stick in my brain. I think that is a mercy. When I think about it, I've been off work for over two years and out of active treatment for over a year. Are we there yet?

I sure hope we are there. The only reason I remember this date is I made a video a couple of days before I finished rads and facebook put the memory up...I remember surgery date because it was Halloween, and round two was Melbourne cup day which means I should have been at the pub or the track, not lying in a stinking hospital bed with NO champagne in sight. grrr.

Congrats @kezmusc -maybe some champers this week? These milestones are so important and reflecting back on how we got through the unknown. Wishing you joy today

@kezmusc I am 1 year tomorrow to surgery date. The date of diagnosis (29 June 2017) and the date of surgery (28 July 2017) are engraved well and truley in my memory.The unexpected "out of the blue", never entering my mind, shock diagnosis was overwhelming. A year ago I could not think past the present minute that I was in. A year's time seemed impossible. However here I am. Still not planning much past the end of August.Congratulations on 1 year. Yes, it does get better. Take care all Annie

You definitely can't forget then. I remember DDay as well. It was 3 days before my twin daughters 18th birthday. Not a very nice birthday present. Hope you are doing well. xoxo
