It really does make such a huge difference. I'm feeling fit and well and looking forward to finally being home in a couple of days.
I fear I may have gained the weight I lost in surgery though. They fatten you up like a Christmas turkey! Breakfast, then morning tea, then lunch, then afternoon tea, then dinner and then another round of the tea cart before bed. I'm learning to say 'no' to the cakes and biscuits, having the fruit instead of the dessert and trying to figure out what the healthiest meal choices might be. It will be good to be able to cook my own food again.
