- primekMemberWhat are Arianne tabs?
- sandramjMemberI'm due back on Wed to oncologist for the 6 month check up after surgery, so I'm trying to read everything I can to ask about just in case there's something new or a trial that I can be part of Etc. I've even done a mini course thru UK uni online about cancer breakthroughs. I need to know about bc to better understand mine AND so I can ask questions and hopefully be aware of anything that may suit me. Eg presently taking Arianne tabs for Eostrogen positive cancer but the swearing is killing me already and I've read about some KJM? Meds that have very minor side effects - if it's sweating I'm keen.
- AfraserMemberThis research is at the "proof of concept" stage, it's an idea, possibly a good one but it needs more rigorous testing to be validated and then approval to use. The initial sample is very small and certainly not enough to form firm conclusions from. The good thing is how many developments are happening, not every one will prove useful but statistically some will!

Yeah - but are they widely available in Australia and what are the costs ?
All the "could help predict" is not too definitive - and have you asked your medical team to prescribe these tests for you ?
I am guessing they have never heard of them and the pathologists are not equipped to do them here.
Will be interested to know the cost of the tests and whether Medicare pay for them ???
Summer - sandramjMember@Summerhill38 I agree about Dr Google but this article was written by breastcancernow.org. Please check the references on the bottom

If these big promises are any way towards being proven we'd be advised to take the test, treatment etc. As BC ladies we still need to stay off Dr Google and ask our own professional treatment team.
From what I can gather, some tests are available but the data is not necessarily useful and the cost is prohibitive.
Surely BCNA would be spreading the good word if there was one test suitable for us all.
