I had laser treatment followed by lymphatic massage by a physio at a lymphoedema clinic. She massaged down my arm and I could hear a popping sound as she massaged the cording. This helped a lot. I also elevated my arm. I was also given a stress ball to get my arm moving. Take care.
  • Can't offer a solution apart from see your physio who may give you a compression sleeve to wear for a few hours a day. It does seem to help. You get a lot of aches with Tamoxifen as well so perhaps its a combination of the two and we just have to put up with it? I thought it was just me got the tingly fingers and its nice to know I am not alone. I am 18 months post op.
  • I had 2 lymph nodes removed in October and in February after finishing chemo and radiation had a swollen hand and arm, (told it could be lymphoma but would be unusual with only 2 nodes removed) the swelling went down after about 3 weeks but did go and see the physio nurse at CGH.  She advised me to have a compression sleeve.  Did not take advise.  In June had pain in the area of my lumpectomy and a sore arm that felt like electric shocks on the inside of my arm, and worse when I stroked it.   I went to see the physio I was advised to see and she told me my ligaments have corded and I need to stretch them. She has given me (paid for it) a compression sleeve to wear during the day and take off to go to bed.  Go and get checked as it is easier to sort things out earlier than waiting till things get worse.  I am on Letrozole and still having my 3 weekly Herceptin injections, also taking turmeric, magnesium and vitamin D.  Good luck.
  • Please get that checked out especially if new pain as it could be nerve compression causing the issues and not just side effects of surgery. I also had chording causing issues down my arm which went away with laser therapy with a physio. I needed lyrica for a short time to settle most post op nerve pain.
