Need some advice!

I'm 29 years old and was diagnosed in Ocotber 2010 at 28 years. I had an aggressive Grade 3 Triple Negative tumour. I finished all my treatment in July. If I had of seen your post earlier I would have tried to have met up with you. I live on the Central Coast about an hour and half north of Sydney. Stacie and Elisha are both 26 and live in Sydney. We met on this site. I hope your operation went well the other day?

Hi Phillipa,

 So sad to hear your news. I was 31 when I was diagnosed...today is the 5 year anniversary of my operation. I live in Melbourne but would love to catch up with you on da net. It is a scary time and the information overload can be overwhelming, but the my journey kit is an excellent resource. I felt very relieved after my operation; there was a sense of taking back control, and once you start a treatment plan perhaps you will feel this too?

I'm so sorry to hear your new's, I've just had my surgery & darling I was so scared. It dosen't matter what age you are......... it's just not the nicest thing to go through & all the ladies will agree with me on that.

If you want some xtra support, I would love to help you out. I know what you must be going through at the moment .

I was diagnosed when I was 29years old. I am now 2 years down the track and am happy to be a support!! I had my treatment in Sydney but moved up to the north coast of NSW a year ago to get away from the stresses of city life. This certainly is a scarey time right now, but you are not alone and certainly you must have heaps of questions! Hope you find someone to have a coffee with but I'm happy to have a cyber one with you whenever you need to talk to someone!

Sorry to hear your news, 28 is so young! Such a shock isn't it... I'm 32, married with two children and 23 weeks pregnant with our 3rd. I was diagnosed on 21st June with breast cancer, was in having a mastectomy the next day and have had my 2nd cycle of chemo done.

Are you having a mastectomy or a lumpectomy do you know? I am in Perth so unfortunately can't meet up to chat but am just a type away if you need to talk :) All the ladies on here are wonderful and so supportive so you've come to a great place.

Hi Phillipa, It is such a sad disease  that is not bias on who it attacks. Im so sorry that you have to go through this, you are so very young and I think that it is so dam unfair. 

I have grade 2 IDC and are getting my cancer  and some lymph nodes removed tomorrow 16th.

I have waited so long for this to be removed about 4 weeks from time of diagnosis to now.(a bit like you) but i am scared but relieved it is all progressing now as you will be too very soon.

I have found this site to be really helpful, it's  a great  place to come and express all your concerns and grief.  There are so many ladies that have a great knowledge base so please don't feel shy in asking for help.

As mentioned by Tanya above make sure you get the "My  journal Kit".

There is a really inspirational young girl Stacey who has battled breast cancer also. She has a web page that you might be interested in. She is such a positive  girl just like the other beautiful girls on here.               Beating Breast Cancer; Stacie's Journey

So sorry to hear your news. The ladies on here are wonderful, we have all been there and done that too. Hope your trip to Sydney goes well. It is a shame you have to travel for your scan. It is so much easier having not to travel.

Another word of wisdom is see if you have McGrath foundation breast care nurse in your area. They are like a "case worker" and can help you out with all sorts of things. Mine was great for deciphering all the information. (trust me, there are times when it feels like information overload.)
