My Fears
Things have been a real roller coaster since I was diagnosed with early breast Cancer 2 tiny dots in left Breast ( nothing to worry about) I kept getting told. A lumpectomy, a couple of Sentinal nodes, followed by some Radiation so no big deal.
Suddenly I have to go back into hospital to have Axillary Disection as one of the Sentinal Nodes was positive, one of the dots was 30mm and the other 7mm and now stage 3 Cancer. One of the Axillary nodes was also positive. Left arm now has alot of Cording which is quite painful I might add. I now need a several months of Chemo as well. I really dropped the ball on this news as I was convinced each time I went for tests it was nothing and each time the news was worse.
Every time I turned around I was having some sort of scan done, had so many needles in my breast leading up to all this that I was terrified they were going to put another one in there ( I have a phobia with needles as it is)
I have tried very hard to put on a brave face for my family and unable to tell them how terrified I am of starting the Chemo tomorrow. I still haven't told the family on my mothers side about my breast Cancer as mums brother died of Breast Cancer the day before I was diagnosed.
So really not looking forward to tomorrow.
