Meditation Does Work
Whilst I was recuperating the first time around in hospital after my surgery, I took some time out to meditate on my own.
To breathe in slowly through my nose, then out through my mouth. I just sat cross legged on my hospital bed and sat tall.
I closed my eyes and started to breathe - allowing all the negative issues out from my out breath. i felt really relieved of all the stress that had been going on and even began to forget that I still had then two drains coming out of my right side.
When I looked over toward the window (I was on the fifth floor with a lovely view of Sydney) I felt much calmer and more in control of myself. Able to face what ever was happening again. Even when the vampire came around to harvest some more blood from me, it didn't seem quite so bad.
I have realised now, that it isn't so much the breathing IN that helps - and mind you, it does help enormously - yet it is the breathing OUT that helps much more. When this happens, you are releasing the negative issues along with your stale air and breath and thus making way for new energy/air to come in and fill your lungs.
All of this works even better if you can visualise a pleasing place - the beach, a waterfall, your own home, infront of a log fire, where ever you love to be on your own - and keep this place in your mind - lock it in so that it becomes an easy place to remember. Walk there, in your mind, bring it up at a moment's notice. Our mind is really so very powerful. If we can only remember to do this - all will be much better. Mind you, I did much forgetting of this when there was so much trauma of my own getting the retched drain pushed back in one day, and then pulled out the next!
We are only but human, I just wanted to share something positive here. Hope it helps some of you.
