Yes Di, it really does work - just to remember to remember that's what we need to do.
I remember doing this way back in the dim dark years of kindergarten actually. The teacher told us to visualise our worst fear and breathe it out into a paper bag - blowing it up as much as we could. Then we tightly held it around the top of the bag and punched it really hard so it would go "POP" and it would then explode and let out that fear into the universe. So it would never bother us again.
That was a long time ago - about 47 years ago. I wish they still taught that in schools today. Trouble is I forgot all about it until recently, so I am just now starting back on that path to be rid of all the negatives in my life. I can't stand being so overwhelmed all the time with a fear of needles - or just being sick. I feel so useless and am helpless when I have no control over my body when it falls to pieces without me.
Time to stand up and say "I am not going to be like this anymore" - I am going to be strong! I am strong. I AM VERY STRONG!
Then to remember it....
