@DearB full disclosure as to why I am convinced you should go straight to a specialist whether or not your GP says there's anything to worry about. My GP told me my lump was nothing to worry about. I went to breast screening anyway and it turned out to be a 70mm invasive ductal tumour. 

My new GP says general practitioners often find it difficult to know the difference between a cancer and something benign. I will never rely on a GP for this sort of thing again.

Okay I need script repeats anyway but wanted him to check and make sure it’s not in my head.

I concur! IMHO it would be a waste of time going through GP. If it were me I would demand a referral either way, so cut out the middle man if you can.

In that case definitely ring your breast care nurse and hopefully she'll get you in to see whoever is rostered on that day or asap. Get that mind put to rest asap. K xox

If you can't get any joy from the public clinic, ring your breast care nurse @DearB.  The sooner you see someone, the sooner you can deal with the anxiety.

Thanks ladies. This is the one time I am thinking duck why did I go public.  Do I even have a surgeon ? I will find my paperwork and check it out.  

@dearb Not a good feeling.  I would do as @kmakm suggests and ring your surgeon's rooms - if it's not the right place to go, they'll put you straight.

Hi B. I reckon you can go straight to your breast surgeon and ask him/her. I think you'd end up seeing them anyway for a definituve answer so why muck around? I don't know for sure though, perhaps someone else will. Let us know how you get on. In the meantime, deep breaths and no bridge crossing! K xox
