It’s booked
I finally agreed to seeing a psych for my pain trauma. I am booked in for my mental health plan next Monday and have already contacted the psych. I just booked in for my yearly mammogram check up for the good side and the thought of another biopsy, which hopefully isn’t necessary, set me off into pain trauma panic. Thought it best to get help before the possibility rather than after. I have also organised for my two yearly colonoscopy so more procedures to send me into a spin. Just as well mindfulness class is tomorrow!

- @Sister I like that phrase, "emotionally compromised". I think I'll use it when I have this colonosopy to explain why I'm the way I am.

- @Blossom1961 I've had to tell dentists that I'm "emotionally compromised" - I think you're doing well to manage a procedure like that.

- So I left my big girl knickers at home. Not that I could wear them anyway. I was knickerless. I lost the plot after the procedure for no reason other than I felt sorry for myself. All good now for another two years. AND NO polyps for only the second time since 2001. AND my hiatus hernia has shrunk to minuscule. Three weeks break until my mammo and U/S.

Afternoon appointment no fluids after 7am - @Blossom1961 if your colonscopy is in the afternoon you should be able to keep drinking water till around 10am. I had an arvo appt but they forgot to tell me i could still drink in the morning, i was so thirsty by the end! Mind you reception weren't pleased that i hadn't been told, neither was i when i found out!
