Drainage bag question

I hope someone can help out my mind at ease. This morning my drainage bag was flowing freely. This afternoon I noticed it seemed to have stopped, so I had a closer look and it was blocked with tissue/blood clot. I managed to clear that.I changed my bag at 3pm and recorded the output at 60ml. Hardly anything flowing so rang the ward I was discharged from yesterday and said I think the pump thing seems like it's not working. Was told to go to emergency to have it checked and no one seemed to know how it worked. They said it seems fine. I'm 3 days post mastectomy and axillary clearance. I'm feeling worried something not right with it.

    If you are still worried keep at the medicos.  The bags can drain for a while then nothing much happens so don't panic.  Perhaps a call to your breast care nurse may put your mind at rest or she may have an emergency contact number to call.
    I had to have 2 additional surgeries after my mastectomy as the drainage bag kept faulting - in the end the nurses asked the surgeon to change the bag to "the old-fashioned sort" and all was OK.
