Do I need chemo for 1-3 nodes positive
Starting to wonder/worry should I have been offered chemo.
I know we all have different treatment plans but just have to ask and try to put my mind at rest .
I was dx with multifocal invasive lobular cancer . Stage 2 grade 2 estrogen positive and one lymph node positive .
Was told chemo wouldn't work . They don't give it for 1-3 nodes !!!
Was given the choice of radiation !!
Had a mastectomy , axillary clearance , rads , zoladex and aromasin .
Anyone know about this ?
Just read an artical about genomic testing to decide whether woman are likely to benefit from chemo when they have 0-3 positive lymph nodes and are ER positive.
my breast tissue is gone so to late for that but still carnt help but question shouldn't I of had chemo .

- Some doctors don't place a lot of emphasis on Ki67 & different labs have other testing methods. In America the medical jargon is quite different to ours & they don't use it a lot. If it wasn't mentioned I wouldn't worry about it.

- Hey Melinda @melclarity mine wasn't on my results either. I found mine on the notes that the breast care nurse took when I was having my first consultation with my oncologist after my surgery but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else. Can you ring and ask your oncologist about the results as they should have them? Xx
- Hmmm interesting its not on my results anywhere I'll ask but doesn't matter anyway. I was just curious.
- No @melclarity, Ki67 is for all cancers. Mine is hormone positive, Her2 negative & my Ki67 was reported at 19%.
