Chemo Cost

Hi I am sitting at home contemplating many things and one thing which I do not have the answer for is cost of Chemo.   Is this claimable thru Medicare ?? I rang my healthfund and they could not...

Hi Sue

I've just received my second chemo treatment going public in Qld.  The meds that are required after chemo cost $30 to $40 per visit.  I'm opting to go private for my radiation treatment which will cost me about $1400 out of pocket.  I don't have private cover but their facilitiy is only 20 mins away whereas the public system is 40 min to an hour away depending on traffic.
